As part of The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, or INTOSAI’S mission to advance the independence and effectiveness of supreme audit institutions in developing countries, the Global SAI Accountability Initiative (GSAI) was launched in 2022.
The Office of the Director of Audit in Dominica is a successful participant of that initiative. So, paired with Dominica’s Office of the Director of Audit, the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia will provide advisory and peer support to help strengthen its capacity and performance.
Three experts, including the Auditor General, from Latvia will visit Dominica from May 15 to 25 of 2023. During this time, they will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to understand the office better and develop a project to improve its capability. Funding will be sought from donors and supporting organizations.
