For World Immunization Week Open Solutions for Health Delivers Again

Open Solutions for Health LTD (OS4H) is proud to have been commissioned by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to develop visualization dashboards for St. Lucia’s Ministry of Health to provide sustainable solutions to strengthen management operations against vaccine preventable diseases. The project falls under the Expanded Programme on Immunization of the World Health Organization (WHO and coincides with World Immunization Week.

World Immunization Week, observed from April 24-30, 2023 is a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative, working with partners to ensure more people, particularly children, are protected from preventable diseases.

On April 19, 2023, OS4H completed the first phase of the project to integrate St Lucia’s National Health Information System (SLUHIS) with their business intelligence tool. This solution was developed using an interoperability layer to connect two different systems enabling a high level of automated data sharing.

This solution provides dashboard visualizations of key indicators at various administrative levels. By dynamically interrogating real-time data in reports and charts, users can identify trends and patterns in the administration of vaccines to achieve evidence-based decision making.

This project was both challenging and highly successful and delivered on time for World Immunization week. It represents the first public sector implementation of the integration technology within the region.

OS4H is proud to be the first implementing partner in the Caribbean with staff certified in the integration technology and looks forward to further collaborations in the region.

Based in Roseau, Dominica, the OS4H Ltd team boasts 15+ years of combined experience in health IT services. OS4H Ltd provides enterprise level solutions and consultation for public and private health entities, including primary healthcare facilities, general practitioners and private specialists.
