The stage has been set for Dominica’s 12th Jazz ‘n Creole festival at historic Fort Shirley of the Cabrits National Park. The idyllic setting, with charming views of Prince Rupert Bay, will come alive on April 30th from 2PM where patrons will enjoy melodies from local and foreign artists. Patrons are urged to arrive early to secure ideal parking at the venue.
This year’s festival will showcase Dominica’s unique culture, delectable cuisine and beverage, and the delightful Kid’s Zone which will offer games and activities like bouncy castle, beads station, and basketball double hoop. Crwn Images’ 360-degree photo booth will also be provided to all patrons at no cost with kind compliments of the National Bank of Dominica. For the second year, the runway fashion show will display beautiful handmade clothing and accessories by designers Ngaska, Bellanoir Fashion, and B Seen Flying Dress.
Meanwhile, Jazz ‘n Creole fringe events continue to excite patrons across the island while providing opportunities to purchase general admission tickets for the promotional price of $135. One such event is Rosalie Bay Eco Resort & Spa’s Jazz by the River on April 29th which provides an evening of jazz entertainment coupled with Chef Nyanda’s table event. Shuttle buses are available from Roseau to the fringe event and guestrooms are available with a special 25% discount for the event.
Special room rates are also available at Jazz ‘n Creole’s business sponsor, Sutton Place Hotel, located on Old Street, Roseau. The hotel will provide a taxi shuttle to Jazz ‘n Creole for its guests. Groups of 10 persons and more have the opportunity to purchase at $135 per ticket throught DDA. Shuttle transportation from Portsmouth to the mainstage event will be provided in three routes. Private shuttle buses will operate from the town of Portsmouth to the Morrocan hotel on route one. Additional private shuttle infobuses will operate from the Moroccan hotel to the ticketing area of
Cabrits grounds on route two. The nominal fare for private shuttles is $2 per route. DDA will provide complimentary shuttles from the ticketing area to the mainstage event on route three.
