It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of 82-year-old Jearne Durand better known as ‘Ma Mc Neil’ or ‘Ma-Zer’ of Morpo, who died on the morning of Wednesday 1st March 2023 at her daughter’s residence in Corvington, Georgia, USA.
She leaves to mourn:
- Her 4 Children – 3 daughters, Clemie Charles in Dominica, Emmanuella Caldwell in the USA and Theresa Mondesire in Antigua; 1 son Reginald Alexander in Dominica
- Her Adopted Son – Elwin Jno Baptiste in the USA
- Her Grandchildren – Jurnell Prince & Seanell O’Mard in the USA, Nevin & Neil Hamilton, Denielle Mondesire, Brianna Charles and Sandy in Antigua, Racheal & Lyn Jno Baptiste in the USA and Eldin Jno Baptiste in Dominica
- Great Grandchildren – Nana in Ghana, Dylan & Mia Prince in the USA and Serenity Charles in Antigua
- Her Daughter-in-Law – Vernice Jno Baptiste in the USA
- Her Sons-in-Law – Geraud Mondesire in Antigua & Rodney Caldwell in the USA

A memorial service and interment of the remains of the late Jearne Durand better known as “Ma Mc Neil” or “Ma-Zer” will be held at a later date.
