Death Announcement of Christopher Valerie better known as Chris and Uncle Toto of Cochrane who resided in River Estate, Canefield

We announce the death of Christopher Valerie, better known as Chris and Uncle Toto from the village of Cochrane who resided in River Estate, Canefield .He who died on the 23nd of March at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.  

He leaves to mourn

His wife:  Doreen Valerie

His sons: Jeffery and Ivor Valerie who resides in London , England.

Five grandchildren:  Abijah, Samuel, Khari, Nazara, and Josiah Valerie

Nine great grandchildren:  Rugayyah, Inaiyah, Sienna, Neriyah, Amanuel, Jahmai, Tsehai, Ivy  and Khulaysah Valerie residing in England.  

Four brothers: Peterson Nicholas, David, Dorival and Oliver Valerie, one sister Mona Nicholas residing in Dominica.  

Brothers  in law:  Fr. Franklyn Cuffy, Mark Cuffy

Sisters-in-law: Cynthia Morvan, Catherine and Ann Valerie residing in Dominica, Jacqueline Tavanier residing in Canada, Elizabeth Schwoefeermann residing the USA, and Denise Peters in England.  

Daughter in law:  Glenys Valerie

Niece in law:  Catherine Gittens residing in England.

Sixty- six nieces and nephew, including Watson Nicholas residing in Atlanta, Cecilia Babbs in Barbados, Christina Copel in Antigua, Vania Williams, Nelson Simon, Althia, Davidson Valerie commonwealth of Dominica Police Force and Gemma Caesar in Dominica.  

He will be missed by members of DOWHAS, the Canefield Domino Team, the community of Canefield, the members of the Canefield Catholic Church, and many other friends including Derick and Catherine Jno-Lewis, Dave and Maureen Joseph, Peter and Maria, Oboyo, Joseph Hunter, Josephine, Ophelia Jules, Owen,  Bruno, Lorna, Moreau, Phillip Vanya David and many others too numerous to mention.  

Special mention: Jahmai and Simone Valerie

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at the St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, Canefield.  Viewing at 2:30 pm and service at 3:00p.m.  Interment at the The Holy Family Cemetery, Mahaut.
