Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre continues to channel monetary assistance from Taiwan to directly benefit Saint Lucians. On February 27, Taiwan Ambassador to Saint Lucia H.E Peter Chia-yen Chen handed over $3.2 million which the Prime Minister says will be used to o strengthen the island’s social safety nets, develop local sporting infrastructure and improve Saint Lucia’s human capital.
