National sensation in cycling, young Ajaniah ‘Ajani’ Casimir has brought home yet another win.
Casimir took first place in the Velo Antillo-Guyanais UCS Holy Spirit City Grand Prix Individual Time Trial in the U17 category over the weekend in Guadeloupe.
Casimir won both the time trial and the road race by two seconds over his French competitor.
Casimir’s coach, Kevon Boyd had this to say when asked about the narrow win.
“Yes, the times were very close. I’d say experience had a lot to do with it. Especially for the time trial. He is experienced enough to know not to go burning himself in the very start of the time trial. For the road race as well. Experience again. It came down to the sprint and he simply had the best position and the best legs to deliver.”
Boyd said that in training, they have been doing a lot of motor pacing and other specialized training.Emonews congratulates Ajani and his team on the big win.
