The CEO of a regional recruitment service is congratulating the Department of Labour on a successful job fair for the new IHOP Bahamas enterprise to be launched in the coming weeks.
“A major franchise like IHOP opening its doors in The Bahamas is no small deal,” said Joseph Boll, Caribbean Employment Services Inc. CEO. “It’s an enormous opportunity for investment, future potential and job growth, so it’s commendable that the Department of Labour immediately got involved to make sure Bahamians were front and center for the opportunities available, including for managerial positions.”
Caribbean Employment Services Inc. is a market-leading digital talent acquisition service that aims to connect the top talent from the Caribbean with hiring managers, HR professionals and decision-makers in companies both within the Caribbean as well as abroad. Further, it aims to provide the region’s jobseekers and those who are already employed with news and resources related to Caribbean labour.
Boll noted that, too often, foreign businesses that begin operating in the Caribbean do so with minimal hiring of local staff, except for the lowest positions. As such, he said the Bahamian government’s initiative to get Bahamians employed, and on the spot where possible, is to be commended.
“We also noted the efforts to make sure everything was organized so there wasn’t an issue with long lines like before,” Boll added. “It really shows that the Department is not just paying lip service to getting Bahamians high-quality jobs; they actually mean it and are willing to put the work into making sure it happens.”
The CEO noted that his organization looks forward to the successful opening of IHOP Bahamas, and that Caribbean Employment Services Inc. is happy to assist with talent acquisition services where needed.
