The Office of the President is pleased to announce that this year, His Excellency President Charles Savarin and Mrs. Savarin, will be hosting the President’s
Charities Foundation Fundraising Dinner at the breathtakingly beautiful site of the Jungle Bay
Resort and Spa, Morne Acouma, Soufriere tomorrow Saturday, 15th October 2022 commencing
with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 pm. This year will be the seventeenth such
fundraising effort in support of charitable causes.
As is customary, the proceeds from the fundraising dinner will be disbursed to sixteen (16) charities
that serve the needs of our vulnerable brothers and sisters in society, and towards the hosting of the
Foundation’s Annual Christmas Party for primary school children ages 5 to 12. The Foundation
also sets aside a reserve fund to respond to emergency situations.
The evening’s proceedings include the delivering of an address by His Excellency President Charles
Savarin and the recognition of Mr. Patrick Pemberton and three (3) past members of the Foundation
for their many years of dedicated and exceptional service.
This year, five (5) individuals will walk out of the dinner with a door prize compliments Secret Bay
Dominica Caribbean, DIGICEL, FlOW, Val Ferry and L’Express des Iles.
The office of the President and the President’s Charities Foundation, take this opportunity to thank
all the patrons and sponsors for making it possible for the Foundation to undertake its charitable
mandate, and look forward to their continued support.
