The Girl Guides Association of Dominica (GGAD) will be hosting a candlelight multifaith service in honor of Kernisha Etienne, who has been missing since June 7th, 2022.
This service is carded for Thursday 25th August 2022, to begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. on the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard. The GGAD believes that this service will keep the memory of Kernisha alive, and it will give a sign of hope to the girls within the association and all girls across the country, especially, as the association has pledged to be a nationwide voice against child abuse.
Kernisha’s disappearance occurred at the end of the 2021/2022 academic year and the 2022/2023 academic year will begin in less than a month yet there is still no sign of Kernisha. The Girl Guides Association recognizes that it is important to honor the memory of Kernisha and pray for her, her family, the children in Dominica and everyone who was affected by this tragedy.
The GGAD is an association for girls and as such we will strive to keep the memory of this girl alive. Thus, we are inviting the public to join us with their candles on Thursday 25th, August 2022 at the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard as lift our voices in prayer and light our candles for Kernisha Etienne.
