The International Airport Development Company (IADC) requires for employment an individual to fill the position of Financial Controller.
Job Summary
The Financial Controller reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The Financial Controller has responsibility for the prudent financial management of the IADC. He/she will be responsible for implementing proper accounting procedures, timely and proper disbursement of project oversight funds, and accounting properly for all funds provided to the IADC. He/she is also fully responsible for the safety of the company’s assets and in ensuring the integrity of the financial accounts in meeting international financial reporting standards.
Qualifications and Education
- Completion of a 4-year degree programme in Accounting.
- Professional Accounting Certification – ACCA, CGA or any other recognised accounting designation
Required Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the accounting field, with four of these at a senior level.
Knowledge/ Skills/Attributes
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and in appropriate accounting software
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of the business management principles pertaining to strategic planning and management of operations
