NDFD to host Earth Hour virtual show to raise awareness of Climate change

According to Mr. Cletus Joseph, Director of the National Development Foundation of Dominica Ltd. (NDFD), “For the second year running the NDFD will be leading Dominica with the observance of Earth Hour.”

On Saturday March 26th 2022 from 7:30pm the NDFD will host a virtual show on zoom for the observance of Earth Hour.  “This is in an effort to raise an awareness of the effect of climate change on our country,” Joseph voiced.

Furthermore, an invitation has been extended to other organizations to join the NDFD in the observance of Earth Hour. Accordingly, organizations such as JCI Dominica, Cabrits Resort and Spa Kempinski, Next Level Hikers, Robertine and Julie Roberts Foundation, WePlanet and Naturescape Adventures have agreed to join the efforts of celebrating Earth Hour.

Joseph expressed that they are seeking to highlight NDFD as the leading green organization in Dominica. “During Earth hour we will be encouraging persons to turn off all non-essential lights and equipment for the next hour in observance of our contribution to raise awareness to the impact that our activities are having on our own livelihoods,” he added.

Moreover, interested persons are encouraged to visit the NDFD’s Facebook page or website for the link to join the meeting and are asked to play their part in honoring mother nature.
