Furthermore, the parents of Mr. Bacchus expressed their gratitude to God for his favor shown upon their son. “We are happy and overjoyed at his achievements. We expected him to pass all his subjects based on his past academic performance at school. However, the surprise is that he topped the country,” stated Mrs. Bacchus. They urged other parents to be a support system for their child. “Parents should consider the wellbeing of their children, make them a priority and constantly monitor their academic progress. This can help reduce bottlenecks and create opportunities for improved performances,” she advised.

Additionally, Charissa George wished to thank her family for their unwavering support during the time of her examinations. She indicated that her parents and sisters stayed up with her during her long nights and preparation for the CSEC exams.

Eddie George, father of Charissa George, expressed that his family is quite excited with the outcome of this year’s CSEC results. “As a family we are extremely proud of Charissa and her success at the CXC results. We expected it and we are really ecstatic at her high achievements,” he stated. “We believe in raising successful children. We believe in growing up a child in the way that they should go and nurture them in the admonition of the Lord. We congratulate her and we expect greater things,” he added.

It is evident that with a good support system, students are able to perform to their full potential. Most importantly, the presence of God is a key factor in the successes of both of these students which is a testament of his favor upon them.
