Jovan Dorsette is an infectious and captivating singer/ songwriter from the community of Marigot .
He developed a passion for music from a tender age where showed interest by singing on the school and church choirs. In 2011 he joined with a group of young artists from his home community by the name ‘TappaKynz’ . Jovan has since branched out from the group and is focused on developing himself as a solo artist. He now goes by ‘ SMGBOSS aka BasiQ”. His music genre says between dancehall and soca.
Currently, SMGBOSS aka BasiQ works with two local producers Delirious sounds and under Muss Buss Productions.
SMGBoss aka BasiQ has recently released his first solo video for his single ‘Sell out’ which is now available on all streaming and buying platforms
