It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the passing of our beloved Cornelius Blaize , better known as Derrick who passed away on June 19,2021 in Orlando FL at the age of 70.
Derick was born in Dominica on September 16th 1950 and then moved to ST. Thomas where he spent majority of his life.
He left to mourn his wife, Nazarine Blaize of ST.Thomas .
Son Derickson Blaize Daughter Nichole Blaize.
Step kids Leroy Eugen, Harvey Xavier, Curvin Lewis, Jeannet Jno.Rose, and Josephine Pendleton,
His mother Madeline “Mable” Blaize of (Dominica);
Sisters Flora Commodore of Dominica, Julietta Dover, Genevieve Lewis, Marie Blaize-Francis, Vernice George, and Myrtle Blaize of Orlando FL, Claudia ”Catwin” Thomas of Dominica and Seraphine Ebrind of Guadeloupe ,
Brothers Franklyn Blaize, Alick Blaize, and Lawrence Blaize of Dominica,
Step grandkids Tyler, Lyonel, Jerlisha, Kimanie, Jason, Bianca, Mervin, Melvin, Naomi, Patrick, Myiah, Mahendra, Kelcey, and Chaz.

Special Friends PJ, Scoper, Thelma Small & family, Carmen Harris, Catherina Alexander & husband, Elthea, Josephine & husband, Suzerine & family, ET & family, Ivonia & family, and Phillipa & family. His other friends and relatives are equally as important but too numerous to mention.
His funeral service will take place on Friday July 2nd, 2021, with his viewing from 9 to 10 a.m.
Followed by a Service at 10 am at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment is at Eastern Cemetery.
