On Saturday June 19, 2021, the Dominica Community High School will launch its Alumni Association. The Association will hold its first general meeting at the St. Alphonsus Parish Hall. The meeting will ratify its constitution and elect officers to serve for the next two years.

The objectives of the Association are:

  1. To promote the welfare of all, (school, administrators, teachers, and students) both past and present.
  2. To bring closer the relationship of all school members past and present, which could bear intelligently on all those, attending the school now, and those who will attend in the future.
  3. To enhance the Alma Mater in every area so that every student will see it as a viable option as a secondary institution.

The three past and present principals will deliver presentations. The school’s Founder of Project Dominica Community High School, Jeane James Finucane will speak on “The Genesis of Dominica Community High School.” While, Valentine Tonge, Former Academic Supervisor will speak on the topic “Preserving the Dominica Community High School, during the period of the 1970’s to Early 80’s- A period of Turmoil’. The present principal Celia Nicholas, will discuss the “Current Status of the Dominica Community High School and the Vision for the Future of the Institution”

Awards will be presented to the three principals and one past teacher.

Over 130 past and present students, teachers and principals will attend the ceremony in person and via zoom.

The ceremony will be start at 4:00 pm

Mona St Louis, a past student is the brainchild of the Association.
