We announce the death of 92 year old Joseph Thomas, better known as Kelsha or Kelsh of Bense, who once resided in the village of Marigot.
He died at his residence in Bense on May 31st 2021.
He leaves to mourn 6 sons: Emanuel residing in New York, James in ST. Croix, Everington Aka Coco John Aka Froggy), Samuel AKA Sambo and Peter Thomas, an employee of the Dominica Fire and Ambulance Services, residing in Dominica. Five daughters: Maudline residing in ST. Croix, Anestazia residing in Canada, Jane in Guadeloupe and Neome in Dominica. Two adopted sons: Marsley and John Warrington.
Four daughters-in-law: Carrie, Flora and Martina Thomas and Judith Peters. One son-in-law: Kelley.

23 Grandchildren: Ivy, Iea, Sabrina, Sydney, Ashma, Mindel, Niguani, Nikema, Earns, Nita, Anestazia, Hernica, O’brica, Jada, Damien, Harvey, Rahim, Daryl, Samuel, Marshal, Jerwin, Oswald, and Edwin and eddie 20 great grandchildren, names too numerous to mention.
Nieces and nephews including: Avril, Lisa, Jacklyn, Alister, Debra, Francillia, Rene, Noelyn, Alix, Madona, Arlington, Egbert, Ettienne Renolson Macdelyne a Christian and Jacob, Arvin.
Close friends: Ordney, Patrick, Josephine, Stebin, Sandra,amoy, Avis, Bowers, Helen flora Clara and ederlyn.
He will also be remembered by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, Hon. Roselyn Paul, Hon. Matthew Walters, Nurse Adora Toussaint and nurse Seaman, the SDA congregation, the Celestine, Thomas and Joseph Family of Bense, Marigot community Fishing, Pineapple and Tourism Associates and many other friends and family too numerous to mention.
The funeral service of the late Joseph ‘’Kelsha” Thomas will take place at 2pm on Thursday 17th June 2021 at the Bense SDA Church followed by internment at the Bense SDA cemetery.
