Fundraising Drive To Assist Fireman

The Dominica Fire and Ambulance Services is undertaking a series of fundraising activities to assist Fire Officer Ron Robin who suffered a stroke on January 31, 2021 and had to be urgently transported to Trinidad for surgery.

Since his return to Dominica, he has been receiving treatment at the national hospital.

According to Fire Officer, Jasmine Moise, Robin requires further treatment and rehabilitation in Jamaica which is estimated at USD 13,000 monthly. While the Officer has a policy in the Fire Services Group Medical Plan, his expenses has exhausted some annual benefits he is entitled to.

The Dominica Firefighters Association and the Dominica Fire and Ambulance Services will host a series of fundraisers to assist Officers Robin beginning with a barbecue on Friday from 11:00Am at the Headquarters of the Fire Service, followed by a Market Day on Saturday at the same location. Along the Loubiere highway will also be a drive by sale.

On Sunday, the Firefighters will take on Segment 4 of the National Trail and all hikers will be expected to contribute $20.For more information,  interested person may call 612-1119 or 266-4400.

Everyone is encouraged to come out in lathe numbers to show support to Fire Officer Ron Robin.
