Death Announcement of 49 year old Brenda Pinard-Matthew better known as Aunty Brenda, Brendz or Peaches of Potterville

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Pinard-Matthew, also known as “Aunty Brenda”, “Brendz”, “Peaches” age 49 of Pottersville. She was a past President of the Dominica Junior Chamber (JCI), Assistant secretary of DAAP. She was also a member of the DAPD, and a patriotic member of the United Workers party.

She will be lovingly remembered by:

Sister: Nadine Sylvester

Brother: Fitzroy Daniel

Aunties: Joan Pinard, Julie, Jennifer, Helena, Maria and Gloria Vidal. Corinthia, Athenia, Marvlyn, Doreen, Shirley, and Daphney.

Uncles: Mark Vidal, Tony Joseph, Wilfred, Vanty, Ashley, Ernest and Clayton Pharoah

Nieces: Kadejah and Kayla Daniel

Nephews: J’adani and Na’Zyie George, Xavier Daniel.

Cousins: Sandy, Malcolm, Everton, Kerri-Ann, Elisha, Nicole, Francis, Joash, Leon, Tafari, Jahmali, Jah-mal, Kalema ,Kerliyah, Jacqueline Charles and family and other cousins names too numerous to mention.

God children: 9, including: Sapphire Wallace, Yannis Isaac, Ishmael Bruney and Yadirah Roberts

Best Friend: Gertrude Stephenson

Very close friends: Glorine Simon, Michelle Jno.Baptiste, Pheona, Russell, Vernel, Monique Roberts and family, Diane Cornellius, Caryl, Ma Attidore, Ann-Margaret and David Bruney.

Special Children: Mishael Williams, Makayla and M’ayha Jno.Baptiste, Tai-Jan, Kyara, and the past students and parents of the Mustard Seed learning center ,Children’s Summer Adventure, AP Royal Dance Studio and Shadrack Art Studio.

Neighbors: Naomi Gibbons and family, Ian Anthony, Georgina Liburd and family, Don, Junella Magloire, Mavis Restaurant and Bar and Roller’s Restaurant and Bar.

She will also be remembered by The Doctors, Nurses, Ward Aids and patients of the Dialysis unit and the Glover Ward.The Pinard, Matthew and Pharoah families. Pastor Laurent and family. Jetrose,Trevor and past students and teachers of Nehemiah Comprehensive. Past colleagues of ChildFund Dominica, and Clear Harbour. Her family and friends in Antigua and England.

The funeral service of the late Brenda Pinard-Matthew will be held on Friday 9th April 2021 at the People’s Pentecostal Church. Viewing- 2:00pm, Service- 2:30pm followed by interment at the Roseau Public Cemetery. Funeral Services entrusted to Gentle Rest Funeral Home.
