Death announcement of 95 year old Bogard Simon Alphonse Joseph of Newtown

We announce the death of 95 year old Bogard Simon Alphonse Joseph, retired fisherman, better known as Bogard, of Newtown. He died on Sunday January 10, 2021.

He is survived by:

  • one adopted daughter Theresa Joseph of Newtown
  • one brother, Phillip Hayden Joseph of Kings Hill and his sister in law Marie.
  • Six Nieces and their families: Violet Joseph,  Rosie Felix, Theresa Hector and Heather Joseph in Dominica, Susan Joseph and Cecilia Cooke in New York,
  • Two Nephews and their families: Julien Alexander in New York, and Henry Joseph in Kings Hill.
  • Three Godchildren and their parents: Brandon, Connie and Mario
  • Two Homecare Assistants – Miranda Joseph and Marie Olga
  • Other relatives including the Hazel familes in Dominica, St Martin and the USA, and the Xavier family of Battery Kings Hill
  • Friends including Verdan Peters, Cyrilia Daniel, Frances James,  and other neighbours and fisher folks of the Newtown community.

The Funeral Mass of Bogard Simon Joseph  will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Newton, on Tuesday January 19 at 3 pm.   Viewing will begin at 2:30. Interment will follow at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
