The Waitukubuli Dance Theater Company will begin to celebrate its 50th year anniversary this month under the theme ‘A Dream Come True’.
Artistic Director of the dance company, Raymond Lawrence, says that the anniversary celebrations will begin with a Church Service on Sunday 10th January, 2021, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
He says that patrons can look forward to a spectacular dance production later down in April.
He says, “The event will feature new and past major dances of the company including a new piece by professional dancer Sade Bully, daughter of Alwyn and Anita Bully. The production will also feature past and current members of the group and special guest artists”.
The Waitukubuli Dance Theatre Company, founded in January 1971 is no stranger to the big stage having toured several islands and performed at all major festivals in Dominica.
Lawrence thanks God and members of the company for the company’s success over the years and also the public for their continued support.
