The Stephanie James Project has continued to deliver an invaluable service to the senior citizens of Dominica. Some years ago, James began making contributions to the Dominica Infirmary and has extended the service to various senior groups across the island.
This year, the Stephanie James Project and Julian Riviere- the Caribbean Cowboy, partnered with Kairi FM radio to have Christmas Carolling at the Dominica Infirmary, with special guest, Dominica’s Lady of Song Ophelia Marie.
Riviere says that he is happy to be able to bring cheer to the elderly.”Seeing them smile, seeing their eyes lit up and seeing them singing along, tapping their feet and dancing; at different ages; moving in different ways and (the music) appealing to them differently; they reacting in different ways even just sitting there; I know that the music is getting to them because this music reaches out to the heart and soul. It makes me appreciate being able to do that. I really don’t care about the reward as much as I care about giving to the elders. I’m happy to know that it’s well received and I’ll keep on doing it as long as I live”.
Riviere became involved with the Stephanie James Project after said doing an advert for her. He has been collaborating with her ever since they discovered their mutual love for the elderly and underprivileged.
According to him, he decided to move back to Dominica, after being in the states for 14 years, to contribute meaningful to his homeland.
The Stephanie James Project is also involved in doing shows for the youth, children at schools and underprivileged persons.
Congratulations to the Stephanie James Project for another job well done.
