The Central Livestock Farm was established to cater for breeding stock, nationally, preferably cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. The farm was previously established at Stock Farm. In 2005, it was relocated to Londonderry. From 2005 to 2009 Government made significant investment to bring the farm to a model agriculture research facility

Contract Description: Rehabilitation of Central Livestock Farm

Scope of Works:

Rehabilitation of existing buildings, improving the functional, spatial and aesthetics of four livestock structures. The structures will accommodate livestock (goats, sheep, cattle) and their processes.

The Works include the demolition, rehabilitation, renovation of the timber and roof, of the Dairy Facility and Goat, Sheep, and Bull Units. Supplemental works will include, electrical and plumbing installations, ruminants window openings, ironmongery and metal work.

Contract Sum EC$613,875.72

Contract Duration: 6 months. Contract must be complete and handed over by June 4, 2021

Purpose: The project is for breeding of animal and availability of breeding stock to farmers., center of training and technology transfer for farmers.
