Minister of Governance and Public Service Reform Hon. Greta Roberts has confirmed that the Government of Dominica has made good on its promise to appoint public officers.
Roberts said that during the period July to October 2020, 163 public officers received appointments in the Public Service. This includes 58 teachers, 25 junior clerks,16 police officers and 64 other public officers within the service.
She stressed that public officers must perform in order to be appointed.
“It should be noted that officers must be regularly appraised on their performance and they must meet the qualifying criteria for appointment within their field.”
The Minister said that appointment of public officers is an ongoing process and updates will be provided regularly.
