Death of 70 year old Algernon Emmanuel Philbert better known as ‘Al’ of Roseau

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Algernon Emmanuel Philbert better known as Al, age 70 of Roseau. He was a former Fisheries Liason Officer. He died at his residence in Laudat on the 1st of December 2020.

He is survived by his wife Anne Philbert, sons Marcus and Marvin, daughters Nickisha and Alisha and one grandson Ziran Laflouf.

Brothers: Vivian Lugay, Albert, Trevor, Malcolm, Dorian, Winston, Denis and Vincent Philbert.

Sisters: Marvlyn Estrado, Glenda McIntyre, Josephine and Patricia Philbert.

Father-in law Henderson Rolle, Son-in law Nahjie Laflouf, Five brothers in law and 10 sisters in law.

One Aunt, Cecilia George.

6 nieces including Kymora Scotland,

19 nephews including Malcolm, Denis and Akim Lugay, and Erron Estrado.

Cousins including Franklyn ‘Ras Gomo George’, the Williams family of Laplaine and the Rolle family of Laudat.

God children Anthony Cyrille, Nikolai Boston, Tahira John, and Donna Maria Green

Close friends: Fitzroy ‘Poy’ Bertrand, Roland Green, Heskeith Hurtault, Mathias Dover, Mc Neil Jno Baptiste, Roland Dejean, Morris and Norman ‘NC’ Cyrille, Julian Boston, Genora, Edwina and The entire Lakou Zowange crew of Roseau, Joseph ‘Jose’ Harriette, Gerald ‘Jep’ Simelda,  Emmanuel ‘Manno’ Rock, Emmery ‘Boom’ Dequental and the rest of Dequental family of Laudat.

The staff of the Fisheries Division, Fishermen, Roseau Fisheries Complex personnel, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The funeral of the late Algernon Philbert will be held on Monday Dec 14th at the Roseau Cathedral Chapel at 3:00pm. Interment will follow at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
