Dominica Dementia Foundation Elects New Board Of Directors

The Dominica Dementia Foundation is pleased to announce that it has elected a new board of directors who are willing and ready to fulfill the objectives of the foundation. The foundation, welcome our new board; Maylon George as President, Kisha Antoine as Vice President, Marie-Elissa Tonge as Treasurer and Shanice Moses as Secretary. The foundation has many things planned for the year 2021 and we look forward to the support of the Dominican public in helping us make a change. We aim to raise awareness of dementia in Dominica and help families to cope and understand Dementia.

We started this process by hosting care sessions via Zoom and donating to families affected by dementia. We also aim to assist in research to better understand this disease and what it is like living with it. The foundation will provide emotional support to Dominicans locally and abroad.

The new board looks forward to the new year, as we are passionate and ready to unfold our founder’s (Miss Rianna Patterson) dreams for this Foundation. Activities are already on the way and we look forward to a prosperous 2021.

Rianna says “I am delighted to see that the work of the foundation will continue with a dynamic group of young people championing on their cause for the foundation” At this moment we would like to invite persons who are interested in learning more about Dementia, families who are affected by dementia, as well as caretakers who want to broaden their knowledge about this disease to our weekly support group meetings every Sunday at 4pm via zoom.

Any interested parties are asked to contact our email mentioned or sending a Whatsapp message to Lifeline Ministries at +1 (767) 235-8367. We are excited to bring in new heads and new ideas, therefore we have opened the doors for new membership. Interested persons are asked to send an email to dominicadementiafoundation@gmail.com or fill out the google document form at the end of this article.

A general meeting for existing & new members will be held on Saturday 12th, December 2020 at 6pm via zoom.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
