It is with great sadness that the family of McDonald Elias Daniel of St. Joseph Dominica, affectionately known as MACDOE, announce his passing. The sad event occurred on Tuesday October 27th 2020 in St. Thomas, USVI. He was 72yrs old.
MACDOE was a self-employed farmer his entire adult life and was passionate about his trade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyle Daniel and Gracie Xavier and daughter, Donna Daniel.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Euthelie Daniel, his children, Donny Daniel, Brian Nicholas and Ursula Victorine (St. Thomas), David Daniel (Guadeloupe), Niva Boatswain (New Jersey) and Prince Boatswain (Dominica). Daughters in-law Isabelle Daniel (Guadeloupe) and Marcella Boatswain (Dominica).
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dante Morillon (St. Thomas), Anoushka and Nigel Boatswain (New Jersey), Nikisha, Jayce, Gydon and Kayah Boatswain (Dominica), Danathan, Diego and Dilovan Daniel and Amanda and Mathias Bellaire (Guadeloupe).
His Great grandchildren, Kierya and Kaleb Boatswain. Also left to mourn are his cousins Alphonsine Detousche (New York), Theresa Charles (Miami), Barbara and family (Barbados), Baby Thomas (Dominica) and special friend retired police officer Mr. Walsh.
Also left to mourn are his relatives the Xavier, Nelson and King families and many other close relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The funeral for the late Elias “McDonald” Daniel will be held on Monday 14th December 2020 at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church at 10am. Internment at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
