25 Fire Officers To Be Awarded For Work During COVID-19

The Dominica Fire and Ambulance service will award 25 fire officers for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deputy Fire Chief(Ag), Wayne Letang said, “Flip back to March during this time, COVID-19 was something that literally got everybody afraid and fire officers were at this time called to the fore front.

Staff has been working hard, working real at it. We have had stressed times so… we are going to honor/award atleast 25 fire officers …basically for COVID-19 response. Fire officers we are looking at are those who really gave it their all. They were afraid at the beginning but stepped up to it, man up to it, dressed up and moved”.
