The Doctor Is In Town- In The Heart Of Portsmouth

Dr. Taura Breedy, Intensive Care Specialist, has moved her practice to BoroughSquare in the heart of Portsmouth. Dr. Breedy announced the move with an official launch on Sunday.

Dr. Breedy is no stranger in the field of medicine, having been a registered doctor since 2005. She has been employed at the National Hospital, the Ross University School of Medicine and in 2018 became a specialist in Intensive Care. She was the owner of Safeway Medical Center in Roseau and is presently working with the quarantine Unit to assist with the management of COVID-19 on the island.

Dr. Breedy is a ‘down to earth’ or humble  individual known for her sacrificial and caring heart. Her patients testify that she will go the extra mile for them whenever they call upon her, even when it is at odd hours.

Dr.Breedy’s Urgent Care Family Clinic will continue to provide services such as medical consultations, minor surgeries, blood draws, prescriptions, referrals and appointments as well as urgent care such as nebulization and treatment of acute problems, nausea dehydration among other others.

Dr. Breedy says, “What makes me different from the other medical doctors is my specialty in Intensive Care and Emergencies. I provide specialized care that includes the stabilization of complications that may occur such as Heart Attacks or Stroke. I can also do transfers of patients via sea and air ambulance, meaning that I can transfer persons overseas. As of today, I will also offer wound care and tele medicine”.

Dr. Breedy gladly accompanies patients to the Reginald. F. Armour Hospital whenever the need arises and remain with them especially if no family member is present.

Her client and dear friend, Royette Casimir says of the clinic, “It is a  much needed asset in the community of Portsmouth”.

Dr. Breedy thanks her clients who have put their trust in her over the years as well as her supportive family and friends, without whom she says, she would not be the Specialist that she is today.

The clinic will be opened at flexible hours to accommodate everyone. You may call (767)316-9015(767)265-0443 or (767)445-4382.

Congratulations to Dr. Taura Breedy on her new endeavor.
