The Ministry of Education is reporting a successful re opening of schools around the island.
Acting Chief Education Officer, Dr.Jeffrey Blaize, says that teachers and students are practicing the measures outlined in the guidelines put forth by the Ministry.
He continued, “We pride on safety. We know that the teachers are doing an excellent job at ensuring that the students are safe while they access their learning. We will be continuing our monitoring”.
According to Dr. Blaize, a number of supervision and support officers were at schools on Monday to monitor and make further recommendations.
He applauds principals who are requesting from the Ministry permission to implement measures which would better enable them to keep within the ‘new normal’.
Dr. Blaize said that the Ministry is flexible in ensuring that students access their learning in a safe environment.
