Financial Secretary, Rosamund Edwards, will take up a new post in the Executive Director’s Office of the World Bank (IMF) as Dominica’s Regional Representative.
This is according to Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit.The Prime Minister commended Mrs. Edwards, saying that she has had an “extra ordinarily exceptional contribution made in the public service of Dominica; very very frugal, very detailed, very diligent and very responsible and I think she was an asset to Dominica especially during these very difficult periods”. He also said that she will still be accessible to the government in her new position.
He announced that her replacement would be Denise Edwards, the former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Works. Hon. Skerrit said that he has every confidence in Denise Edwards ability to advice the Government on matters of finance and economic issues.
Presently, Rosamund Edwards, is on pre-retirement leave but also working in her new post as well.
