Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education, Chandler Hyacinth has said that students will be ready for the CSEC Exams (previously called CXC) should they remain as planned.
“For the secondary schools beside the use of Google Classroom, we are still preparing for CXC exams so we are using the CXC Hub as a medium that the students can review. We are using the Flow Classroom that students can use to review as they prepare for exams”.
Mrs. Hyacinth also said that teachers have been asked to make materials available for students.
The Ministry of education has also prepared Jump Drives(Flash Drives) for students who do not have access to the internet. Further, materials will be accessible via the Facebook page of the Ministry of Education.
Mrs. Hyacinth made these comments amidst growing concerns over the impact of COVID-19 on the CSEC examinations.
