First COVID-19 Index Case Recovered

According to national Epidemiologist, Dr. Shalauddin Ahmed, the patient who was the first recorded case of COVID-19 in Dominica is recovered and has been sent home.

Ahmed explained that case numbers 1,2 and 12 are index cases because they contacted the disease outside of Dominica. Index case number 3 (case no.12) had 59 known contacts which were all tested and 2 returned positive. Further tests were done on contacts of the 2 positive cases and one returned positive.
