Pastor Paul Carrette originally of Cottage, Dominica but who now lives in the Maryland, USA has seen a need in his community and together with his congregation has reached out. While many churches are unable to congregate because of social distancing measures as a result of COVID-19, the Church of Living Waters Hope Center has not stopped meeting needs of those around them.
The Church of Living Waters Hope Center has been giving drive thru care packages to persons in the community who are negatively affected by COVID-19.
Pastor Carrette said, “The church is not a building but a body! Still respecting the limitations on gathering, a few of us represented our church in putting together care packages as we prepare to serve our community tomorrow. People in need will drive up, we will place a care package in their car, containing some food items along with a printed message from our church”.
Pastor Carrette expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve the community, and also to the many volunteers who made the drive thru outreach possible by volunteering their time or by making donations.
Pastor Carrette believes that even during these trying times, ‘The church of Jesus Christ is still advancing the gospel of the Kingdom through various means’.
Well done Church of the Living Waters and Pastor Paul Carrette.
