Outlook For Eastern Caribbean Currency Union Is Positive Says Governor

The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) held its Chew On it Luncheon on Wednesday under the theme Transforming the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union Together- Dominica’s Scorecard.

Featured speaker at the luncheon was the Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Timothy N. J. Antoine.

Antoine began his presentation by saying that the outlook for the currency union is positive although the union is operating below the set goal target.

Antoine also said that structural reforms are needed in order to achieve faster economic progress.

Meanwhile DAIC president, Kenny Green, asserted that the association is committed to the transformation and advancement of Dominica by equipping persons with the necessary knowledge to facilitate such transformation.
