Salisbury Diasporian Donates To Health Centre

Salisbury Diasporian Donates To Health Centre

Diasporas from the community of Salisbury has responded to the needs of the district health centre and made a donation of various instruments to the Health Centre.

Spokesperson of the group, Darren Louis said, “The nurses have been using antiquated instruments older than me. A simple electronic Doppler (cost less that £20) can now replace the mechanical baby listening device (basically a tube with a horn at the end). They have needed basic supplies for a long time and are still waiting”.

One of the nurses at the Health Centre expressed gratitude for this “good gesture” and said that the items, especially the baby scale, are indeed necessary and will go a long way in helping them in carrying out their duties at the health centre.
