Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit has said that landowners in the Wesley and Palm Tree communities will soon receive payments for land which has been identified as the site for the construction of an International Airport.
The Prime Minister said that they have begun negotiations, surveying of the lands and among other preparations and that there has been no resistance on the part of land owners.
About four million dollars so far is expected to be paid out to the landowners.

According to the Prime Minister, the construction of an international airport is still a top priority for his administration.
