27 year old Gibson Kimian Esprit of Tarish Pit is the first road fatality for 2020.
Esprit died following a vehicular accident at about 9 pm in Castle Comfort on Saturday.
According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF), Inspector Simon Edwards, Esprit was the rider of a scooter registration number PI543 in a northerly direction on the road when he lost control.
“The scooter landed forcefully on the road and Esprit sustained injuries about his body particularly his head”.
Esprit was transported to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of the Dominica China Friendship hospital where he was examined by a medical doctor and admitted.
He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
