Secretary Treasurer of WAWU, Kertiste Augustus, will join other regional trade union leaders at a meeting in Trinidad later this week.
The meeting will begin discussions with a Latin American company who is interested in buying over 60% of the shares of First Caribbean Bank International.
Augustus says that the union was able to secure the interests of employees when Barclays sold shares to First Caribbean International and hopes to do the same in this case.
