Sour Sour Part of Calypso Quarter finals After A Hiatus Of About Two Decades

Sour Sour who sang the hit song ‘Cool Pipe’ made it through to the quarterfinals at the calypso eliminations on Saturday night.

The show which was held at the Strip at L’alay Coco in Loubiere had over forty competitors, leaving the judges with the incredible task of selecting twelve.

Also making it through to the quarterfinals were three newcomers: St.Lucian native, ‘Bingo’; Gospel artist ‘Abiyah”; and ‘Mighty D’ who will perform on the same stage as his grandfather the venerable “Mighty Picki’ who also made it through.

The other calypsonians who will perform at the quarterfinals are Haxey, Enlightener, Soul Puss, Lady S, Omee, Inciter and Trend Setter.

The reserves are Prince of Peace, Lulu, Mystery, Nadure and Triumph.

These twelve will join twenty others at the calypso quarterfinals scheduled for January 25 at Carnival City.
