Owner of Jays Bookstore Calls For Changes To The Education System

John Lewis, owner of Jay’s Bookstore, says that there should be changes made to the education system in Dominica to include more technical subjects.

Lewis believes that Agriculture should be taught from the Primary School level so that children grow their own produce and learn what can be gained from agriculture.

Also, that Civics should see a return to the classroom in order to have well rounded students.

Lastly, that Dominican History should be a must in our education system. He says that young people do not have an appreciation of where we have come from as a nation.

In Lewis’ opinion parents don’t even understand and appreciate the need for technical subjects in the education system and in every day life.
