The Newtown Primary School is the latest beneficiary of the generosity of Dominica’s international bouyon superstar Asa Bantan (Edwards). Asa, who is also referred to as the Bouyon Boss, yesterday continued his philanthropic work by donating a variety of gardening tools to the thriving agriculture program at Newtown Primary School. The items include rakes, spades, hoes, water cans, pruning shears, gloves, water hose among other items.
This action is nothing new to this patriotic Dominican who has made it a habit of extracting from his earnings from major event performances to give back to his community. This time around he wanted to twin youth and agriculture as the young people are the future of sustaining the island’s agriculture sector. Asa Bantan is always excited to give back and is focused on touching every aspect of the community although his heart is closest to children, youth and the elderly.
Principal of the Newtown Primary School, Ms. Anita Williams thanked Asa Bantan for his donation to her school and offered her blessings in all his future endeavours. She confirmed that the students will make full use of all the equipment in the field towards production of vegetables, provisions and other produce.

Fresh on the heels of his landmark performances at the Flow Creole in the Park and World Creole Music Festival, Asa is journeying on to what he does best. He leaves the island this weekend for the Uber Soca Cruise over the next two weeks.
