Kent Edwards says that he has been known as Kent Edwards the Pharmacist;  the one to call in emergencies whether day or night, sun or rain. He says that the people of the constituency have looked up to him as a brother, son, father figure and friend. He says that he is now known as the boy from Plaisance Ghetto who is the DLP candidate.

Edwards promises to do his best to move the constituency forward and work with everyone in the process. He says that he is present today on the podium because La Plaine has prayed for him and because God answers prayers, he requests that prayers be said for the constituency so that it returns to the unity that once existed.

Edwards says that the contribution of Parliamentary Representative Petter St. Jean must be applauded in building a beautiful road network and ensuring a large number of University graduates. He boasts about the health center and says that the constituency has come a long way in just two years.

Edwards says that he will lose his sense of purpose if he is unable to help the people who have made him who he is  just like a farmer who is told that he cannot plant anymore. He said working hard is the La Plaine way and he will work hard for the constituency. Some of his plans which he has already started working on, include transforming the La Plaine constituency into smart communities. He says plans are already being put in place to transform the multi-purpose center into an off the grid smart center.

Upon its completion, it will facilitate satellite learning from the Dominica State College and other learning institutions. He is also pursuing the training of more caregivers to provide service to the elderly. He said he has spoken to the women and knows what they require to make their lives better. Edwards also promises to empower the men to support their families and he also desires to have vibrant sporting events for the community.

He says that work on the playing fields are being fast-tracked and encourages the people of La Plaine in the diaspora to engage him in talks since they have the experience to help the community. He also has plans to help the Tourism sector and also the Agricultural sector in the community by establishing tools and fertilizer cooperatives.

Edwards encourages the people of La Plaine constituency to trust him with their vote as they have with their lives. Kent Edwards was endorsed by the present Parliamentary Representative for the area Hon. Petter St. Jean who recently made his presence felt on the campaign trail.
