At a handing over ceremony on September 17, 66 families from the community of Castle Bruce received commitment letters for the recently built apartment buildings in the area.
While the recipients did not receive keys, the Prime Minister said that the commitment letter is of more value than money in the bank, that it is Government’s firm commitment which cannot be broken by anyone.
PM Skerrit urged the recipients to care for the houses and live in unity. He says that while the Government is under no obligation to provide houses for anyone, it is our Christian responsibility to look after the less fortunate.
The recipients should receive their keys in about ten days after an electricity hold has been resolved.
