STEM Project to be launched at Arthur Waldron SDA

The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) will pilot the first-ever project of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program in the new academic year at the Arthur Waldron Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School.

The project came as a result of a commitment to action by the DAIC, by the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). Executive Director of  DAIC, Lizra Fabien said, “What this initiative will be doing is looking at a robotics camp, a science week and a mathematics week to be able to help the students understand that we can actually solve problems that we face.”

Fabien says that they will pool resources both local and otherwise in order to develop a curriculum and get tools to ensure the success of the program.
