DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT: Roxon Robin

It is with profound sadness, that we announce the death/passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Roxon MacDowell Robin affectionately called “Rocco”was born on the island of Dominica in the village of Wesley on November 15th, 1935. Roxon who died peacefully on Monday July 8th at the York Central hospital in Canada, was 83 years old.

Left to cherish his memories are his:

Beloved Wife: Ethelrose Robin (aka) Tayose

Twelve Children;

Daughters: Rosie Robin,  Bernadine Robin, Hildreth Robin-Green, Christiana Robin-Koffi, residing in Canada; Ziscah Robin and Faieza Robin-Bertrand, residing in Maryland , Wendy Robin-Ramljak residing in Hong Kong,  Rhona Robin residing in St.Martin and Enette Sams residing in St. Eustatius.

Sons: Renwick Robin and Gan Robin Residing in Canada, and Andy Robin residing in Virginia

Twenty-Five (25) Grandchildren; Kim Carbon, Pablita Thomas,  Rhea Green, Chantelle Carbon, Kerry Carbon, Vaughn Sams, Virnette Sams, Akeem Francis, Theodore Green, Nailah Francis, Simone Burton, Amber Robin, Serina Green,  Amber Robin, Tyler Robin, Ryan Robin, Micah Robin ,Zack Robin, Kendell Robin, Rockelle Reese, Keah Reese, Shabria Bertrand, Rocco Bertrand, Xavier Robin, Solange Robin, and Nathaniel Bertrand

Six (6) Great Grand Children; Kymia, Rasheyd, Trayvon, Cayanna, Cattlaya & Lorenzo

Sister: Evette Smith in England, Frances Robin in Maryland

Brother: Cuthburt Robin in England, Thompson Robin, Arthur Robin

Sister in law: Jean Robin in Canada

Brother in law: Ford Smith in England

Nephews: Blaine, Bernard, Glen, Michael, Mitchell, and Van

Nieces: Sylvia, Sandra, Hayley, Miranda, Merlyn, Mitchlyn, Minerva, Sarah Triphenia and Sharon

Sons in Law; Pastor Virgil Sams in St.Eustatius, Theodore Green in Canada, Stewart Burton in Canada, Ivan Ramlajak in Hong Kong, Brian Bertrand in Maryland & Demitre Koffi in Canada

Honorary Daughter; Elitra Ducreay in Canada.

Two (2) Daughters in Law: Francine Robin in Canada & Frances Robin in Virginia.

Close friends and neighbors: Cap Ducreay, Boltan Timothy and family, Catherine Prosper and Family,  Kenneth Telemaque, Flamingo James, Catherine Dodds and Family, Teacher Corally and Family, Izine, Watts and Bernie Telemaque, Claire, Rally Wilkinson and other friends and family far too numerous to mention.

Caretakers and special Mentions:  Marielle Charles and Brian personal care worker; everyone that took the time to pray and care for Rocco.

The funeral service of the late Roxon MacDowell Robin “Rocco “ will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at the Wesley Methodist Church, in Wesley Dominica.

Viewing & Tribute: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m

Service commences at 3:00 PM

Interment: At the Wesley Methodist Cemetery

May Angels guard his resting Place.

Words of Thanks:  The family of the late Roxon MacDowell Robin, would like to express thanks and gratitude to all who called, visited, e-mailed, sent messages of condolences, or assisted in any way to make our loss easier to bear. Special thanks to caretakers, nurses, Medical Center, family, friends and neighbors.

We were blessed to call Rocco our father and will never take that blessing for granted. A man of compassion, strength, humor, unmatched work ethic, charm and forgiveness that we can all aspire to attain. Rocco we say “ thank you!!!” until we meet again.
