Father Nigel Karam, Dean of the Roseau Cathedral, is optimistic that the cathedral will be in use by the year’s end.

“We’re hoping that the Cathedral will be completely covered by the end of this month, if not before August. Most of the work in terms of the covering of the Cathedral and the roofing has been done. What is being done now is the steel tile being put on, then work will proceed to the inside because with the weather conditions and so on, the insides, the flooring has deteriorated almost completely.  Hopefully, we can accomplish this by the end of this year, we can accomplish the flooring and maybe cleaning so that even if the Cathedral is not complete that we can have Christmas mass there”.

He says that the project is approximately 4 million dollars away from completion.
