On Wednesday 17th April 2019, the Dominica Secondary Schools Support Association (DSSSA) made a donation of seven (7) Laptops to the Saint Martin Secondary school.
DSSSA is a charity based organization in England. It was established after Dominicans based in the U.K recognized the needs of secondary school students back home. Thomas Holmes, the school counselor made contact with the UK based foundation and today is happy to witness this donation.
He encouraged other groups and organizations to come on board and support these initiatives. Principal at the school, Mrs. Andra Christian welcomed the donation and expressed her gratitude to the foundation. Miller Francis, owner of Premier Computing was also present to hand over these computers.
Mr. Francis encouraged students to capitalize on their education and always strive for excellence. Most of the schools are now engaged in online testing based exams administered by the Caribbean Examination Council.
