Convent High School Celebrates 161st Anniversary

Today Convent High School together with the Catholic Church celebrates Convent High School’s 161st Anniversary. Today marks one more year of sound teachings and consistent values, which allows each student to develop into well-rounded women while forming lasting friendships and memories, that we were able to share just this week, former student Ms. Netisha Durand provided.

Simultaneously, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus and is also known as Candlemas Day was acknowledged. The Presentation of the Lord concludes the celebration of the Nativity and with the offerings of the Virgin Mother and the prophecy of Simeon, the events now point toward Easter.

Anniversary celebrations will continue at the Convent High School to include games of volleyball and rounders, students vs old girls, and karaoke. The day ended with lunch at the Prevost Cinemall.
