Deputy Police Commissioner Represents JCF at Jamaica Diaspora Conference

Deputy Commissioner of Police Richard Stewart is representing Commissioner of Police Dr. Kevin Blake at the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference currently underway in Montego Bay, St. James.

The conference has brought together government officials, members of the Jamaican diaspora, and key stakeholders to discuss issues affecting national development and strengthen ties between Jamaica and its overseas communities.

Deputy Commissioner Stewart joins Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, and other senior officials participating in the event.

As part of the conference programme, Stewart will participate in a panel discussion titled “Security and Public Safety: Working Together as We Continue to Build a Safer Jamaica.”

He will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Peace, Dr. Horace Chang; Chief Cyber Security Expert at the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), Dr. Patrick Linton; and Crime Prevention Director at the Ministry of National Security and Peace, Shauna Trowers.

The plenary session will be moderated by Senior Superintendent of Police Dennis Brooks, Communication Strategist for the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Constabulary Communication Network.

The discussion is expected to focus on collaborative approaches to enhancing national security, crime prevention, cybersecurity, and public safety while strengthening partnerships between Jamaica and its diaspora communities.
